This week we flash back to our most popular show in the IAQ Radio archives. Charles E. Gilbert, PhD is  an epidemiologist and toxicologist and a Principal of the Epidemiology and Toxicology Institute, LLC. Dr. Gilbert’s area of expertise is in occupational and environmental health especially in sensitive subgroups such as children. Dr. Gilbert was a founding member of the Environmental Biology and Public Health Section in the American Association of Bioanalysts. He was also a Research Assistant Professor Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, MA.Dr. Gilbert developed and was Director of the Northeast Regional Lead Training Center, University of Massachusetts from 1992 to 1997, one of six centers established by the U.S. EPA.  Dr. Gilbert was a Subject Matter Expert for EPA National Lead Certification Examination System and has been on technical, scientific, and medical advisory committees for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Environmental Protection Agency, Centers for Disease Control, U.S. Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, Alliance to End Childhood Lead Poisoning, and National Center for Lead Safe Housing.Now Dr. Gilbert is applying his unique background by providing forensic investigations and legal support on disaster restoration and IAQ projects.
